Okay all, I’m really sorry about the lack-luster blog these days, but the post-spring break workload has gotten me down. Not to worry, though - I still have my posts slated up. Up next is a piece on how to earn your next belt. I’m also planning 3-part posting on my experience with false masters and how to deal with them.
On a more personal note, I’ve recently competed in my first tournament and came away with a trophy in sparring! The rest of the team was amazing, so I’m excited to see what they do in our next competition.

Congrats on the trophy!!!
I competed in one tournament and walked away with three medals. Not bad for an over-40 gal!

Christie, thanks for stopping by! Earning 3 medals in that division must have been difficult - congratulations on that

You know, it’s about time I said congratulations.
) and I have been held up at orange belt for a few years now while life went in a different direction. It’s on my list to get back to it one of these days.
My son is a black belt. (I have my black belt in mom bench sitting
I know how hard what you are doing is. Good for you.

@Wendi - thanks for checking out my blog! It can be difficult getting back into the swing of things, but I’ll have to say that it’s the most rewarding experience
The kind of support dojang members provide as you achieve higher ranks is totally awesome. I know what it is to have circumstances stand in the way of training and I hope that circumstances will allow you to join back up one day

I can relate to being uninspired I took a three-month break from personal blogging; however, I was still freelance writing for the technology websites. I wasn’t expecting to take that long of a break it just happened.
At times, it is great to take breaks.
